Aesthetic Myoelectric Prosthetic

Project Partner

Asem Aboelzahab, Lead Instructional Labs and Senior Design Projects Coordinator at the Purdue School of Biomedical Engineering. He presented the team with a proposal for a project that can be used to foster interest of prospective BME students who are touring the building.

Motivation

Currently, there is no interactive model representing biomedical engineering discipline in Purdue’s BME Building. The goal of this team is to create a fully functional and educational forearm prosthetic that is controlled by electromyography.
